What to include in a bug report

The more of this you can give us, the faster it gets fixed:

Please do not post private information in an issue. The tracker is public. Never include your password, and avoid posting screenshots that show other people's names, list contents or email addresses.

Common questions

How do I delete my account?

Open the Settings tab and choose Delete account. Before it will run, you must first transfer or delete every list you own, including archived ones — the app tells you which lists are blocking deletion. This removes your sign-in record, profile, friendships, list memberships, uploaded avatar and your personal check history.

Tasks you created inside other people's lists remain, with your authorship anonymised, because deleting them would tear holes in lists belonging to other people. Removing your checks can reopen tasks that your check had completed.

Why can't I remove somebody else's check?

By design. You can only take back a check you made yourself. This keeps the record of who actually did what honest, which is the point of the app.

Does Splitlist read my contacts?

No. Splitlist never asks for and never accesses your phone's address book. Friends are added by searching for a username that the other person chose and shared with you.

The three completion modes

ModeHow it finishes
SharedOne check by any member completes it for everyone.
CounterCollects a target number of checks. Anyone can contribute, repeatedly.
AssignedEvery assigned member has to check in personally.

I'm not getting notifications

Notifications are off until you turn them on. Check Settings → Notifications inside the app, then confirm Splitlist is allowed to send notifications in your device's own system settings.
