Bloom · Focus & Study Timer
Effective 13 September 2026.
This policy applies to Bloom: Focus & Study Timer, published by Bloom, on iOS and Android.
The short version. Bloom works offline, with no account. Everything it records stays on your own device. It is not sent to the developer or to anybody else, and there is no advertising, tracking or analytics in the app.
Bloom works offline without an account. It stores your optional display name, settings, tasks, goals, plans, timer and session records, and optional Companion check-ins on the installed device. This information powers your timer, history and personal insights.
Bloom does not send this information to the developer or to another service. The app does not collect, sell or share personal data. It contains no advertising, tracking SDKs or analytics service, and it does not sync data between devices.
If you enable completion alerts, Bloom may request notification or alarm permission. On supported iOS devices, Live Activities can show your current timer. These features operate through your device's own system services; Bloom does not use a server or a remote push service to deliver them. You can change these permissions in your device's Settings, and the timer remains usable without them.
Bloom saves data locally and preserves compatible existing data through app updates. The current app has no export, import, backup-download, account or cloud-recovery feature. Android system backup and device transfer are disabled; iOS app data is excluded from backup.
Deleting the app removes its local data. On iOS, Offload App retains local app data. Clearing Bloom's app storage on Android, or its site data in a browser, also removes the corresponding saved data. The developer has no copy from which to restore your records.
Apple, Google and your device's operating system may process store, installation, diagnostic or device information under their own policies. That processing is separate from the local storage described above.
Our support pages and issue tracker are hosted by GitHub. Visiting those pages or submitting an issue is subject to GitHub's Privacy Statement. If you submit an issue, its contents and your GitHub profile are publicly visible, and the developer can read and respond to it. Do not include passwords, private study records, contact details or other sensitive information in a public issue.
Bloom is not directed at children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect personal data from them. Since Bloom keeps everything on the device and sends nothing to the developer, there is no account for us to hold or delete.
For a question about this policy, open a privacy or support question. You can ask a general question without sharing your local records.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and the previous wording stays visible in the public revision history of this page. We will update this policy before releasing features that change the app's data practices.
